Baby Corner

by Daphne Banks

News! News! News! Our first baby moved on after only being in the house for 6 weeks. Jabu has found his home with a mother who just adores him and believe it or not, they even look alike. After three days of training and living in the house, mother and son left to start their new life together.

Sani left on Thursday (27/11/2003). He left us after being in the house for only the past 3 weeks. He is now part of a lovely family where we know he will be loved to bits by his new mommy, daddy and big brother. Our hearts went out to the parents every time they had to tear themselves away from their little man after each visit. Hang in there, Lisa... you know your little boy will be loved and cared for. What is normally a joyous day for the new parents leaves the volunteers, staff and Daphne with a tear in the eye. Our prayers are with all of them and we ask that you will pray for us, the ones left behind, to continue putting our babies needs before our own and accept that it is God's will to bring and take these babies in and out of our lives. Sometimes the parents are happy to keep in contact with us and in other situations they prefer to keep a distance. Whatever the outcome, we pray for peace in our hearts that GOD will take care of every baby after he/she has left our house. Our first little girl who arrived at the new house had the privilege to meet her new mommy on Wednesday and will have her mom in the house for a few days before they move on to a new beginning. The two &quotgirls&quot chatted and I can just warn the shops... they intend to shop till they drop!

Micky is doing very well now, drinking without assistance and she is even gaining weight. Her skin condition is clearing up and I would like to extend thanks to the following people in particular who I believe made a difference in her life: Lynn (Laying hands on her and prayers) Cheryl (Taking action regarding finding medical attendance and sorting out the bill for medication) Debbie (Acting and making herself available medically) Dr Japie (Medical assistance without hesitation) Cynthia and Che (Praying and attending to her daily needs) Umhlanga Baptist chain of prayer and all the Volunteers who just adore her to bits!

Currently we have six babies in the house and if you have not met them yet, it is time to come along and say &quotHI&quot to our adorable beary cutenesses... We have only one boy in the house, so men come along with the next visit to support him!
